To aid students in their academic, career, and personal growth development through comprehensive mentorship and service learning opportunities.
“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which they have overcome.” - Booker T. Washington
To teach first generation and underrepresented students how to navigate through the college entrance procedures. To help students obtain resources to make their pursuit of higher education affordable.
Our program starts working with students in the summer before their senior year of high school. Each July we start a new high school cohort that remain together as a group working together on several tasks like completing college admissions applications, learning about financial aid, performing community service, attending enrichment workshops and virtual college admissions fairs coordinated by JEWELS Founder with the intent to connect students personally with representatives at their schools of interest. JEWELS offers it's students one-on-one personalized assistance and are always accessible.
The students build a sense of community by working and learning aside each other, either in person or via virtual mentoring sessions that we conduct. Work with students are done one-on-one and in group settings.
And, our work with students continue through college and beyond as we are a JEWELS family and develop life-long relationships. We are apart of their support system and village!!

HOW WE HELP!
Your Success is What Drives Us
At J.E.W.E.L.S Mentoring Program, we provide guidance that helps you achieve your goals. We work one-on-one with students helping them navigate the college preparation process. We provide continued guidance through college matriculation and beyond. With our comprehensive mentorship approach, we empower our students and strive to enhance their confidence and personal development.
We host several workshops providing insight and guidance regarding college admission application completions, searching for scholarships, essay writing for college admissions and scholarships, service learning and much more!
Our mentoring program connects students with organizations that provide opportunities to develop skills in helping others. Through these opportunities students can enhance their group, organizational and interpersonal skills while also gaining valuable experience working with diverse members of their communities.
Our program prepares students to be self-advocates, critical thinkers, organized and proactive. We not only help students reach their dream of getting higher education, but also teach them life skills that will help them flourish on their own as emerging adults and emerging leaders.
